BDAY GIFT TO MYSELF (2011)

OMG! How long has it been since I last posted here. 2009. WOW!!! That's a long time ago...before losing a lot of weight and only to gain it back & then some because I got pregnant & had my beautiful & adorable baby boy.

Well back to the task at hand, again it's been 2 years. After all that's happened I am happy to announce that the "kikay" in me never went away. Yes, I know that a lot of women, especially first time moms like myself, after having baby, anything & everything that closely resembles grooming oneself gets thrown out the window...oh no! But not me, still I crave makeup, I still collect makeup brushes, love everything about being a girly-girl.

Being a mom, means that your time & priorities does not exactly belong to yourself anymore (hu hu!), however, my belief is that, it should not be the reason either to let yourself go & succumb to the unglamorous lifestyle. What with all the dirty diapers, baby's crying, lack of sleep, how can you afford to be fab? But no, we moms, shouldn't think that way. I know, how can we ever do our makeup when a 5-minute shower seems to be a privilege these days. Nevertheless, being pretty & basically taking care of ourselves is a must. Admittedly, makeup & the internet are my only distractions. Without them...whoa...I wouldn't go there...I'd probably go crazy (just a little).

So okay, as for my last birthday, I saved up a little money to buy myself some makeup brush sets. I am happy!

These are my most favorite brushes (as of yet, of course in due time that'll change). The Synthetic Face Brush Kit from Sigma. They are kind of pricey, but with all the reviews I saw on YouTube, I was like a kid who envied all the other kids who had these cool toys...& I wanted one.

Here's another one which I bought for my special day. It's a 15-piece brush set. It's a generic brand but I love them. Some of them are unique & comparable to MAC & Sigma brushes. I bought them from a multiply seller - andrei0147, she also sells the most affordable makeup palettes that I have found so far, so I gotta appreciate her for that.

Well that's that, fingers-crossed that my next post will not be for another 2 years, haha...that would be really embarrasing. I have to catch up on my zzzz's, my son just turned 6 months last friday (June 10, 2011), although he sleeps all through the night, since he's 2 months old (he is such a good boy), during the day it's just non-stop chores & caretaking for me.
